"GO YE INTO ALL THE WORLD..." UNITED STATES, CANADA, BRAZIL, PERU, ARGENTINA, SOUTH AFRICA, NAMIBIA, SWAZILAND, BOTSWANA, ZAMBIA, DENMARK, CHINA, NEW ZEALAND

From the Director's Desk

A USA News and World report survey revealed on 6th May 2002 that 77% of
Christians felt that all religions have elements of truth, and therefore they
couldn’t claim any exclusivity to their faith.

We call this the challenge of “PLURALISM” which simply stated is “there are many ways to God” or “Jesus is not the only way to heaven”. This teaching, which is becoming increasingly more popular, defies the entire message of the Evangelist.
The proponents of this belief base their reasons on the following:

Liberal interpretation of the doctrine of God, Grace and Salvation.

Would a God of love have an eternal discrimination policy?

The silence of Scripture about the eternal state of those who have never
heard of the Gospel.

  • The salvation of infants.
  • The various interpretations of eternal punishment.
  • The modern emphasis of common faith.
  • The call for tolerance and respect for people of other faiths.
  • The secular doctrines of universalism – the view that God will eventually wooall men unto Himself.

These are just a few views that challenge the evangelical belief that Jesus
Christ is the way, the truth and the life, and that no one comes to the Father
except through Him.

May the Evangelists of our day never compromise on this cardinal truth.

Yours in His service,
Cecil

Regional Representatives' Conference - 13-14 February 2009

Paul Viljoen (KwaZulu Natal), Brian Graetz (Eastern Cape), Colin Visser (National Coordinator), Steve Grewer (Karoo), Bob Naidoo (Western Cape), Cecil Peasley (Executive Director), David Hutt (Gauteng), Graham Berry (Gauteng), Desmond Cramer (Western Cape)

During the month of February, a Conference with the Regional representatives was held in Johannesburg. The purpose of the Conference was to consider the way ahead for the Association; to set up short and long term strategies both at the national and regional levels.

As the different regions shared their successes and challenges, the team was able to identify areas of strength and weakness, which assisted in setting goals and objectives for 2009 and 2010.

Thank you to each representative for their commitment and to the members in the regions for their support. Do pray for continued wisdom to develop a dynamic evangelism ministry around the country.
